Yogis and yoga Teachers:

where would you be 1 year from now with a dedicated yoga practice, amplified leadership skills, and mentors you trusT?

you’ve taken a 200-hour yoga teacher training and loved it

you loved learning the poses, human anatomy, and yogic teachings

you really loved finding surprise personal development throughout your experience

You loved the community

Now it’s over and you miss it

originally, your interest in the training was ignited because of one or more of these reasons:

  • you had personal life changes that compelled you to do something different in your life.

  • you've been developing your yoga practice for a few years and the teaching aspect started to interest you.

  • you joined the training with hopes of creating and developing a thriving, sustainable yoga business.

But now you find yourself working 14-16 sessions per week while still barely making ends meet.

Maybe you have a full-time job that you enjoy and you teach yoga on the weekends. But you want to know how to take your sessions and classes to the next level. you want to maximize your time doing one-on-one sessions and don’t know where to begin.

You’re not even sure you have the capacity to take on more in your life. You don't want to lose your practice, but you also want to learn more. You always want to learn more.

Perhaps one of these situations apply to you:

  • Your confidence as a teacher isn't fully there yet.

  • You want to continue developing your own practice. You love being a student and want to learn all.the.things.

  • You have limiting beliefs about the hustle of running your own yoga business and still not making enough money to live the life you desire.

now, you know you learned a lot in your previous training and you might not even be interested in taking another training.

you know the advanced yoga techniques - but you’re still not comfortable “pulling” them out of your “teacher brain” while in the moment and use them to coach and correct your clients.

Consider this: If a group of 20 people came to your class, one person had glaucoma, another had a hip replacement, another had severe anxiety, one was a 70-year-old man who could hardly get down on his mat, four students were super fit and active 20-somethings, and there was one student who was 7 months pregnant...would you know how to keep them all safe while ensuring that everyone had a full experience?

what modifications would you suggest, and why?

would you feel comfortable making hands-on modifications?

What if someone was injured in your class, would you know how to appropriately work with the situation?

Getting the experience of teaching a group of students you've never taught before is more valuable than just learning about the history of yoga, the Gods, and advanced techniques. This information isn't helpful if you aren't sure where it fits into your practice or teachings.

You want to make sure this training is worth your time and money, and you need to research the best training in your area. Having a business plan is essential.

You want to do it with mentors you trust. Ones that you've had an experience of what they have to offer.

Being able to translate what you learned into your practice and teaching is a gap where most other yoga teacher trainings have failed.

They give you the tools and training that you want, but when the curriculum ends, they don't give you the hands-on experience, continued learning, and mentoring you need.

You want to know how to effectively teach an entire class with vastly different bodies how to approach the same pose, where they should go, and where they should stop.

That comes from a solid understanding of alignment principles too, but you don't get much of that stuff from a 200-hour teacher training.

a 300-hour yoga alliance certified course, level 9 yoga includes:

but it doesn’t end there…

Level 9 yoga include 8 additional months of continuing education, mentoring and the ability to guest-teach yoga classes to new people to release the overwhelm and shift the limiting mindset, imposter syndrome and comparison thoughts of not feeling ready to teach.

You'll learn to tune into your own teaching style, determine what specialty (if any) you want to teach. Decipher what you bring to the table specifically with each other or with private clients.

You'll get help networking and building your own personal brand as a teacher.

And you'll have your community of teachers and mentors.

You'll have relationships with other teachers and mentors to help each other out after the curriculum is complete.

Level 9 Yoga improves your own outlook on the practice itself. Maybe you forgot why you enjoyed Asana once you began teaching. You might be afraid to start teaching for fear of losing your own beloved practice. With pressure to "perform" and teach, the Level 9 Yoga teacher training helps you realize that information is abundant and you can always be a student.

yoga is not a journey to forgo on your own.

Your yoga journey is just that. It's yours.

But wouldn't it be nice to do it with others who are doing it along with you?

At the 200-hour level yoga course you went through, you may have felt there was a wide spectrum of skills in the class. People who had been studying or practicing yoga for less than a year. And then there's you - someone who's been practicing yoga for several years, teaching for a couple. This is for you.

It's more than the training that you receive during the time you are learning during your course. Once it's over, you're not left to figure it all out on your own. You won't leave this 300-hour yoga teacher training feeling even more overwhelmed than where you started.

here’s why you’ll want to partake in level 9 yoga:

  • We have 4 course mentors, most of whom have over 20 years experience in their respective field which will help you breakthrough, reach your goals, and achieve your dreams.

  • You'll get not only the hands-on, in-person learning and curriculum, you'll get a discussion around each topic versus it being more like a lecture.

  • Each time you come to class, you'll come with the same, small (limited size of 8) people and truly be able to develop relationships. Ones where you'll continue to help each other out even after Level 9 Yoga has ended.

  • Get help networking and building your own personal brand as a teacher.

  • On-going mentoring for 8 months after the curriculum is complete to be able to truly nurture your teachings.

  • You'll gain the ability to offer high-level yogic teachings that will set you apart from other teachers (and be able to charge more per session).

  • Gain the confidence to tune into your own teaching style and step into your power with private clients.

  • Understand what its like to partake and teach in a private yoga session.

  • Our methods assure your breakthroughs are irreversible.

  • More than just teachings of yoga, philosophy, and anatomy, you'll gain a deeper understanding of human design, breathwork, thai yoga, yoga nidra, and ethics of caring - how to care for yourself and your students as they're moving through the processing emotions and situations of their history.

Most of all, you'll improve your own outlook on your practice. Whether you're teaching 14-16 classes per week and barely making ends meet, or you're working full time and teaching 2-3 sessions each month, you'll be brought back to the place of not having to "perform". You'll learn to return to being a student and the momentum that you gain once you allow for an abundance of information to make long-lasting life changes.

meet your mentors

With over 20 years of experience in their practice, our mentors are here to guide you and ensure you have irreversible breakthroughs in your yoga practice and yoga teacher experience.

  • Inspired by a mentor to join a class at the age of 16, she started practicing yoga as a troubled teenager. That first yoga class woke her up: the soft ease in the teacher's voice, the low light in the room and the body movements that felt amazing, all elements to set the tone for her healing journey of 20 plus years. Tah then became a human design analyst for over 10 years and now helps provide a deeper, synthesized introduction to your human design chart so you can begin the experiment of living it. In 1996 working simultaneously within the health food industry as a reliable source for nutritional council and support, Tah’s yoga business grew. She was able to open one of the first yoga studios in La Jolla. Shakti Yoga was born. After enjoying this prime location for a handful of years she realized the benefit of being a mobile instructor. This was the next logical step for her since the established client base was corporate and private. As a yoga teacher she has developed a nurturing hands-on approach, a comfortable style, rich with verbal cues regarding alignment of body, mind and spirit. With Tah’s emphasis on the details of asana, using body awareness, breath flow, and a soft nurturing and compassionate tone, yoga becomes an essential element to lighten and gladden your spirit. Her attention is on the breath as the core of a transformative yoga practice.

  • James has been actively exploring Yoga and Eastern Philosophies most of his life. It is one of his favorite subjects to share with the world and speak about. He first came across Yoga in the early 80s practicing Pranayama. In 1992, he was introduced to Breathwork which has led him deeper into the world of metaphysics and the holistic arts.

In 2011, he wrote his first book on breath, ‘Thirteen Breaths to Freedom’. In 2017 he wrote ‘Pranayama and Breathwork, A journey with breath’ for yoga teacher trainings and yogis alike. In 2018, he wrote 1000 Breath Challenge: for people that think conscious breathing is easy. And in 2019, ‘Thirteen Breaths to Better Sex, Making Love Intimate’.

He believes everyone deserves to hear about the power of Breath but not everyone is ready for the phenomenal mystery it has to offer. Are you?

you’ve already completed your 200-hour training, what more could you want to know about yoga?

 Does It Work?

“Tah and Arati are truly wise women [who] beautifully embody authenticity and guided me down my authentic path. I initially start this training with the only outcome of receiving a certificate to teach…I received an abundant amount more. Throughout my training, I continuously lost sight of the ending certificate because I was so immersed in the wise content and beautiful people I was surrounded by. Whether you want to become a teacher, deepen your own practice, deepen your perspective on life, or have no idea what you want; I can wholeheartedly recommend joining.”

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

“I started [practicing] yoga in 2011 but never managed to have a regular practice. I completed my yoga teacher training in 2016 with Tah Groen. Since then, I have been quite regularly practicing each morning...The benefits [of Tah’s training] have truly been countless, but to name a few: a stronger practice on and off the mat and a foundation set of skills to teach yoga. After the training, I kept asking her advice on how to create my yoga sequences and how to make it flow and she has been very supportive in her mentoring. I have always been impressed with her deep knowledge of yoga. Her teaching methods are very motivating and I am very fortunate to have such leadership".”

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

“I think I would be kind of lost still. I think I would have so many questions and I don’t think yoga would mean to me what it means to me now. I think I would still just be practicing. I would not focus on my breath. I would not know where to start meditation. Maybe I wouldn’t be at peace with myself. I feel like I did change.”
